Members of our staff visited Victoriaville on December 1 and 2 to tour impact businesses in the beautiful region of Centre-du-Québec.

Because when it comes to sustainable development, Victoriaville is a Québec pioneer. And where better than the cradle of sustainable development to discover environmentally responsible best practices and draw inspiration from them?

There was no shortage of inspiration for our colleagues on their tours of impact and environmentally responsible businesses in the region.

Kicked off nicely with a visit to the Fruits d’or plant, which has sustainable development in its DNA, the tour stopped at Enerprox, Cascades Tissue Group, La Fromagerie du Presbytère, the Distillerie Euclide, and the Microbrasserie L’Hermite.

Facilities tours, presentations, and meetings gave our colleagues so much food for thought!

To get the greatest benefit, on Friday, December 2 our impact explorers also attended training by the Corporation de Développement Durable and a presentation by the Écoparc Industriel de Victoriaville, which combines economic with sustainable development.

“We came away truly inspired by the environmentally responsible, ethical, and sustainable values of all actors in the region,” said Noémi Harvey, Regional Director for the Capitale-Nationale.

Decidedly, our colleagues came back from this enriching tour with their heads filled with ideas, new knowledge, and inspiration.
