Prebudget consultations: Evol weighs inIn mid-February, as part of prebudget consultations by Quebec\u2019s Minist\u00e8re des Finances and Canada\u2019s Department of Finance, our CEO, S\u00e9vrine Labelle, and the Chair of the Board, Cadleen D\u00e9sir, weighed in by submitting Evol\u2019s observations on the current economic situation and its recommendations for relaunching the economy inclusively and sustainably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the climate emergency growing more serious every day, we are convinced that Quebec businesses play a key role in implementing concrete solutions to environmental challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why we took the opportunity to draft a brief presenting our observations on the current economic situation and the resulting enormous environmental challenges, detailing the needs and concerns of entrepreneurs and emphasizing the contribution Evol can have in introducing sustainable solutions to climate challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A growing number of entrepreneurs are adopting values focused on the public good and respect for the environment. This sets the stage to improve our sustainable development practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, entrepreneurs need more support, training, and coaching to achieve their ambitions for success without doing a disservice to future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is precisely what Evol has been dedicating itself to for over 25 years: ensuring the success of businesses while promoting the non-financial factors of inclusion, ecology, and diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By participating in the creation of businesses with more concern for the environment and supporting businesses that want to have a positive impact on Quebec society, we are helping build a more equitable society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are committed to supporting entrepreneurs and, with our brief, we are calling on the provincial and federal governments to consider these factors in the upcoming budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aspire to a better world, and we will never stop reaching out to government, economic authorities, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem so they too can be involved in making it happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
